Yes, this is what I think was a major mistake in early Gamergate.

We kept saying that Anita Sarkeesian should 'debate' us, which made us look weak and in need of an indulgence, whereas we should have been saying that "her points are so weak that she is not even able to debate anyone".

Well, live and learn...
