They would be outnumbered 4:1, but the ANA outnumbered the Taliban by 4:1 so anything is possible.

Biden just had the Jan 2021 estimate of Taliban strenght cut in half for the purpose of his speech, it was 150,000 then (now many more with prisons emptied and defections).
