I 100% agree with you. Home births increasing was one of the first things that came to mind upon hearing about this. Then i immediately remembered why mortality was a lot higher during birth 150 years ago 😅
I foresee a lot more home births in australia's future...
Not saying it's definite, just saying it wouldn't shock me if all of a sudden, people start having babies at home...

There were all kinds of contributing factors. For the most part, it's pretty safe to have a baby at home nowadays, especially if you have a midwife.
Just add them to COVID deaths.
