and sadly that may also lead to mothers dying during childbirth of things like preeclampsia and hemorrhage. home birth is great when nothing goes wrong.

I'm not saying it's a good or a bad thing. I'm just saying I think it's a possibility with this kind of decision by the courts...

I 100% agree with you. Home births increasing was one of the first things that came to mind upon hearing about this. Then i immediately remembered why mortality was a lot higher during birth 150 years ago 😅

There were all kinds of contributing factors. For the most part, it's pretty safe to have a baby at home nowadays, especially if you have a midwife.
