So the Democrats have wasted absolutely no time engaging in "optics" regarding their complete retreat of the Afghanistan front.
Today I received an email from the VA. An almost hilariously "Millennial" email, written as damage control targeted towards veterans upset about how their sacrifices were all just basically a waste of time, effort and American blood.
Examples include:
"At this moment, it may seem to you like your service and your sacrifices were for nothing."
and
"Veterans may question the meaning of their service or whether it was worth the sacrifices they made."
Because that's the real problem, according to the liberals. Not that a United States Embassy is being sacked, but that veterans might question the narrative.
You know what I want to talk about?
The fact that I finally know why my Dad has a shirt that says, "Don't blame me for Vietnam. When I left we were winning."
I literally saw the picture of the helicopter leaving the embassy and I thought it was the picture from Saigon.
It was all fun and games until I remembered the 9 Designated Transfer ceremonies I went to in Afghanistan. Then I got really mad.
2 of those were for two Marines who got blown up on a bridge by a Russian Anti-Personnel mine set up by the Taliban. Two more Marines were mauled in an attempt to rescue them by secondary explosives. That bridge killed 2 Marines and made quadruple amputees out of the other two.
The cases are smaller than you'd think.
Now I'm mad again.
The polititians dont give a fuck/ we need to vote them ALL out. No matter who your party. theyre all corrupt faggots. we need to vote them out and start anew/
The fewer politicians the better.
But it's the bureaucrats we need to completely remove from every position of power.
Ooh boy, you've still got a lot to learn buddy
Depends on your voting instrument.
Sorry to hear that, man.
It's okay. At least there's still a few thousand soldiers who are prepared to rescue whomever is left. This seems to be the case with our Mad Lad Lord Miles Routledge. He mentioned Safe Houses, "Best of the Best", showed off some gear that was clearly privately bought American arms, and the fact that he was in a well defended position.
Most likely, CENTCOM probably ordered at least a Quick Reaction Team, probably Marines, to redeploy into the area on short notice and fortify the area against any follow-up attacks by the Taliban, or Civilian Overflow. Not to mention the State Department probably shit it's pants and called out their own PMC's, not wanting a repeat of what happened in Benghazi.
At least someone is there to defend someone. As long as one person is doing the right thing...
