Back in the beginning of GamerGate, KIA was formed over at plebbit to shine the light of truth and reality on the clown world antics of video game journalists and developers. Over time the jannies over at KIA became more and more draconian in their creation, modification, and enforcement of the rules of the sub, and slapped down more and more posts.
At one point the mods of KIA (who were showing more and more of their true colors of falling into lockstep with the site admins) put up a vote on making one of the rules more restrictive. The general populace told them "hell no", to which the mods responded "fuck you, we'll do what we want" and made the change. At that point, KIA2 was spun off, as a return to the less restrictive ways. We got smeared as being a bigger hate group than the original KIA, which was to be expected, with the usual lies and prevarications about us followers of "wrongthink". Things eventually calmed down between the halves of the schism and a cease-fire between the communities was reached.
Things progressed over there, as they do, and it became more and more clear that Reddit was a lost cause and had been overrun by leftist ideologues who were more interested in pushing the agenda than allowing open communication. In the wake of a potential ban wave, KIA2 went private for a while, and the .win site was created as our lifeboat. Original KIA, trying to look like they were still halfway legit, followed suit and got their own .win community created, but it's a graveyard over there because they're all still happy in their little jannie-controlled walled garden at Reddit. They don't get that they're still slowly having their freedom stripped away from them over there - so long as they occasionally get to bitch about clown world vidya bullshit (but don't mention trannies, BLM, or any of the other trash Reddit protects across the board), but if they were smart they would have left back when the writing was on the wall.
