This was a punch in the gut. Been a while since reading news evoked such emotions in me, but I actually felt a little sick when I first read about what's going on in NSW. It was just shocking, so detached from reality...even though I knew it was coming. Even though I'm not in Australia. This is complete unacceptable.
Absolutely revolting...huh, an interesting word, that...revolting.
And remember, whatever part of the world you live in...they're bringing it to you, too. Coming soon to a country near you. Stay alert, stay safe.
Yeah, I guess I was... "Enculturated" to this from watching Victoria, WA and the NT last year (we've established by now that I'm not in any of those states or territories, I think...), but I guess what scares, horrifies and revolts me (as you say) is that NSW WAS, for all intents and purposes, one of the last hold-outs against these most oppressive of measures, for a while...
Or at least, it was perceived that way, accurately or otherwise...
Gladys held off on declaring martial law, like some of the other states did, because she presumably knew that would be the end of her political career (if the proles ever do rise up, that is), and she wanted to differentiate herself from a) Scotty, and b) Labor, I gather...
However it only took a year, and the spook of fucking "Delta", for her to enact the very same police state that she wass mocking Dan for, only a few months ago...
Like on this exact policy (which the post is about), Gladys was literally mocking Dan's government a few months ago FOR THE EXACT SAME THING, and saying how "that would never happen in NSW"... If you search for it, it's one of the first articles to come up, and demonstrates the eminent hypocrisy of all this...
You thought this wasn't coming for you, Sydneysiders? Well I hate to break it to you, but how goddamn naïve could you be, lol...
Scuntmo DOES live in, and represent, Sydney, after all... They were always going to be made an example of. :-/

How fucking peak clown world can you get, when not declaring martial law is a glowing achievement?
Australia should have never given up their guns.
