It's a pipedream, but I really wish a bunch of states said to the federal government in the US "you know what, we're gonna just do our own thing, so don't expect any taxes from us, and we won't ask you for money."
At the very least it would solve a ton of local issues.
Government incomes are only tenuously tied to government expenditures in nations that have fiat currencies.
It would likely break down under price hyperinflation on daily goods. Good news: we get to find out soon!

New Hampshire is the closest to that we have right now. Maybe Wyoming, Florida, and South Dakota would follow.
