I think Amazon deployed fully automated systems that had the ability to fire delivery drivers without any human input or review if they didn't meet certain delivery metrics.
But this is a hint of things to come: companies are going to want something in return for allowing everyone to work remotely. Either things like this, or cost of living adjustments based on where you live.
