Violent crime is rare in Japan but there have been a spate of knife attacks by assailants unknown to the victims. --- Crime is so rare, comparatively in Japan. It's silly to blow this out of proportion, or try and use it to harm those "sexist, racist Japanese meanies" with their evil, not Marxist enough anime. Yeah, they have a problem with shut-ins and people not having kids that needs to be addressed, but no reason for people to really fear for their safety.
