Submission concludes with the point, that Christianity couldn't beat the secular, but maybe Islam can. Many of the French joined Islam at the end of the book. It don't think we should convert, but I can't disagree with the overall point about the weakness of Christianity in the face of secularism. Saying that, I think it was a matter of timing more than anything else. Secularism would have had no chance against Christianity at it's peak.
