Daddy might be their literal dad, maybe some good-natured, hard-working man who tried his best to raise them right but ultimately failed due to pervasive social demoralization, or it might be the country they live in which they consider a surrogate father, but it's still the same thing. They hate daddy, and they want to hurt him as much as possible.
