You say that as if the media still attempted to present multiple sides of a story, or used qualifying statements to appear fair. They don't even pretend to not be propagandists anymore.
It wasn't that long ago when "X claims" and "we attempted to contact X for this story" were some of the most common phrases in news articles. I rarely see them now. (unless it's "X claimed, WITHOUT EVIDENCE...")
