The infamous butchered He-Man reboot had reminded me about this idea for a comic accurate cybersix animated series, where along with fighting techno's, fixed ideas, and the mad scientist's other creatures, she would also be fighting allied terrorists and criminal gangs who are working with him.
Unfortunately, the franchise is extremely prone to being highjacked to promote regressive leftist propaganda as said mad scientist is an escaped Nazi war criminal, meaning there would likely be attempts by said extremists to push conspiracy theories about neo-nazis/white supremacists.
It's a shame, though do you guys have any other examples of franchises that are vulnerable to this bullshit?
If they ever make a Deus Ex movie or show, I guarantee that it would be absolutely ruined. The first game is basically a tell all book of how the left is behaving across the planet right now, so at the very least the plot would be warped and distorted to even begin to make such a thing. They, much like our resident shill u/AntonioOfVenice, would probably spend the whole time whining about "muh corporations".
And they'd probably gender and race swap JC Denton too. Can't have those awful, awful white men anymore.
So JC would be a black lesbian who uses her cybernetic abilities to try and overthrow McWalmart because capitalism bad.
Anna Navarre's psychopathic bloodlust and eagerness to kill American citizens would be depicted as a hallmark of a strong heroic woman and totally justified by the NSF being evil white male Christian Trump supporters. That one female NSF commander mentioned in some datacubes & emails early on will be lucky if they 'just' show her to be a thoroughly character-assassinated and negative figure like the anti-ERA ladies from that one FX show starring Cate Blanchett as Phyllis Schlafly, and don't just write her out altogether.
Damn. This really wasn't how I wanted to see that scrapped UNATCO loyalist path brought to life.
