The thing is, the odds that you experience severe negative side effects are higher for you than if you got covid (assuming you are young). The reasonable position in my mind is the classic risk based analysis, compare your risks of one versus the other. A lot of people on the right hold this same view, and were even talking about it when it was Trump that was pushing for the fast track of these vaccines. There are some on the left that were too, but they have been disowned by their own party for commiting the blasphemy of questioning the system.
Edit: now we are fairly certain the odds of severe negative effects are fairly low, which is quite good. But it is still a problem that the "cure" has greater chance (even if it is extremely small) of severely effecting your life. On top of us having absolutely no idea what the long term effects of this cure will be.
That doesn't sound unreasonable. I'm not sure where we disagree. One area maybe. I recall that of the known side-effects, it would still be beneficial for 20-29. But that's known side-effects, and I don't exactly trust the elites to tell the truth about these things, nor believe that anyone knows about long-term side-effects.
