You don't want Iran to have possession of the drone, but half the advantage of a drone is that it's expendable. I could imagine dropping an airstrike on the drone if you don't give a shit about the Iranians' justified anger at such an action, but sending soldiers into Iran to destroy it would be just as large a provocation and give the Iranians the opportunity to capture or kill your soldiers and not just a piece of hardware.
