No, seriously, it's a mystery. There has been so much mismanagement and idiotic actions that it's hard to tell which ones all done by the same people actually led to this state of affairs.

Between emotionally wrecking young people (forcing them away from their friends, taking away their jobs, etc.), public vilification of police, acceleration of the "white people are bad!" narrative, overlooking crimes of people as long as they have the correct race and/or political affiliation, and probably more...
