No reason our society couldn't emerge from that again, but we need to deliberately harden ourselves for the possibility. I'd much rather square off against the elites before they have the chance to take things that far.
It's the one thing I want to retain through all of this. All other technology is negotiable, but indoor plumbing must be retained.
You can have the pipes, but what will be the power source to move the water? What will stop raw sewage from flooding into your home?
