In 2019, Fallen London and Sunless Sea developer Alexis Kennedy was accused by two women of inappropriate behavior, with accusations ranging from cheating during a relationship to preying on young women eager to find a foothold in the video game industry. Kennedy, who founded Failbetter Games and currently runs the game studio Weather Factory with his partner Lottie Bevan, found himself at the center of a scandal that would upend his entire world.
Any woman willing to try and and work her way into a position by "assuming the position" has summarily proven that she either:
Doesn't believe she has the ability to get the position on her own merit, so she has to resort to using the one thing she has that men will traditionally give anything for. Someone that weak is not a person you want on your team.
Is willing to use anything to get a leg up in the world (no pun intended) and will most likely do the same thing to screw you over once she sees a chance to swing to the next branch in the tree. Again, not a person you want on your team.
That's not to mention the power she would inherently hold over the man she banged to get the job, because she could MeToo him right out of the company.
