We have reached a crossroads in society. Where we prosecute those who act accordingly to the law and forgive those who act maliciously. There is no distinguishing difference between us today and the dark society the gulag archipelago promised. We have currently sat by while our Supreme Court shows only one justice currently acts in service of our country. The fact we have sat by and let every large city not hold their own constituents by the laws they created and in effect claim that the law they created does not apply simply because those who attack our nation apply to a certain political identity. Law no longer applies, any argument otherwise has been proven completely false in the past few years. When some tries to murder someone during the riots and is forgiven while those who went on the equivalent of a guided tour during a heated political tension is left in solitary confinement for their actions shows the targeted malicious lie of government. Our own Declaration of Independence demands a responsible government accountable to the people. To say this must be settled by blood is a crime, except if you ask the founders of our country. The reality is that the weakness of our American ancestors has led to a necessary culling. We forgot that we only exist as a nation if we maintain the ideals of our founding fathers. Our founding fathers bleed and died for us, and I am asking you today if you are willing to die for your neighbors? We no longer have the cohesion or trust in a shared identity the wars of yesterday demanded. I doubt anyone here is willing to die for their neighbor because we no longer have a shared identity. How can we pretend that we are growing as a society when by ever metric we are doing worse? We can’t even define redemption let alone agree to how to properly punish those who commit horrendous crimes. We are so weak as a nation that we stand by watching our fellow Americans die because it would be inconvenient to stand against it.

An intruder invades your house. What do you do? Run? Do you have a family? Do you abandon them to the intruder's whims? Where do you run to? Somewhere safe? Like a police station? No, because the safe places are only safe because of authority and the violence implicit in defying that authority. Maybe you run out into the woods. Unfortunately the violence of man is restrained and measured compared with the violence of the wild and wolves can run faster than you.
You are a coward and a fool, and if you aren't willing to exert threat of violence, then you will always be the slave of someone who will. There will always be violence enacted on your behalf or against you.
Condone violence, or condone every abuse conceivable to be brought against you.
You are facing the wall. Everyone you've ever cared about is facing the wall next to you. Remember "God didn't promise you anything in this life." and thus you justify your own death, the deaths of children, and justness of the coming dictatorship, because to resist would require violence.
You are pushed into a mass grave, and forgotten by history. But at least you went to the grave feeling morally superior to your killers.
Do you believe there is god?
Not yours.
Well, then we're not going to see eye to eye on this.
Because from my perspective, you're evaluated on what YOU do. Not what's done to you, but how you respond to it. Christ told you what to do, and your belligerence in spite of that would be a disappointment.
In my perspective I am also evaluated on what I do. The strengths I build. Not what I suffer. In this life, I should be the best that I can be to protect those closest to me, and inspire the same strength of body and mind in them as well. To sit on my hands and do nothing when I could have protected others? That would be the disappointment.
I must constantly strive for more knowledge, more skill at my crafts, more fitness of the body, including preparedness to attack or defend with both strategy and athleticism.
You a witness? You sound like one.
