There's been an absolutely bonkers flip in the public collective opinion of drug manufacturing companies in the past year. For all my life until 8 months ago, these companies were money grubbing thieves, committing literal murder for not giving away expensive to develop and expensive to manufacture and expensive to test drugs, and we need generics of everything (which is a valid opinion: fuck companies that would mildly tweak formulas for the pure benefit of profit without any aid to people.)
Now all of a sudden, cheap and effective alternatives are fucking VILE AND EVIL and how DARE you consider depriving these companies of the ability to manufacture billions of doses of a new drug at a major premium and forcing another billions of shots 6 months from now you are KILLING THE WORLD.
Yeah, we're told to "trust the experts" by non-expert Bay Area millenials who somehow have the authority to determine which experts are OK and which should be unpersoned. They've poisoned public discourse, maybe beyond repair in my lifetime, and I think you're right. Most of them are just True Believers; people who think they're doing the right thing but lack the life experience to realize just how powerfully ignorant they are and how harmful their actions are. Then there's Zuckerberg. I'd call him a reptile, but my turtle has more empathy than he does.
"Don't be evil" was a projection of intention. Google changed that motto once they started executing on the announcement. To project is a Lefty's Way: they cannot think outside their blinders, so they MUST proclaim their aim when they speak, even when they might wish to lie; as they know nothing else.
Dude the fact that safe drugs that have been used for decades can’t be discussed as having a possible benefit for the wuflu is utterly insane.

No. Obviously.
Unlikely. US recommends for off label use treating covid as well. Official policy has no effect on unofficial media agenda
I hope someone somewhere charges google executives with crimes against humanity.
