We've all been trained to talk like this to appeal to the "sane silent majority", sabotaging our own argument before we've even made it.
I'm not sure. There is a large group of ignorant people on all political sides with their heads in the sand, who find moderation appealing, reject "extremism" out of hand (without looking at actual facts) and simply parrot the mainstream liberal education they've been indoctrinated with. They vote. The ones who lean conservative are driven by narratives like "hypocrisy and racism from the radical left" and they aren't going to NOT vote for Grenell just because he's illogically inconsistent, assuming they're even aware of what really happened on Jan 6th.
There are no arguments possible that will convince people already willfully blind or corrupt enough to think the government is not being tyrannical with the Capitol protest, and that BLM/Antifa looting was justified.
