At this point, this is the only action anyone on the right has taken against big tech at all.
I understand that you desire someone like Pat Buchanan but that type of candidate sadly is not feasible in the current hegemony.
DeSantis is not perfect yet it is clear that he is currently the best that the right can hope to get elected into the Presidency.
Let's see what happens.
If it gets struck down, then they need to take action by writing a better law that can stand up in court.
You are correct that the national GOP continues to ignore any and all concerns about big tech.
However, only DeSantis and the Florida GOP has even bothered to attempt any action against big tech.
Good news is that the Republican base is changing in terms of having a spine.
Most of the base these days wants substantive action not just performative bullshit.
As populists continue to gain more and more ground inside the Republican party, the GOP establishment will eventually be forced to take some action or risk being replaced entirely.
Buchanan went soft. Since the sixth he's sounded like some lame train on Fox.
But it only protects a few people. The vast majority of big tech censorship is not covered by that law.
