This idiot is proof of how dangerous and stupid such blanket policies are, because you know he's calling things racist and bigotry that aren't. He actually seems to think there aren't more black criminals. That somehow the police are only targeting black people and all the streets are full of white thugs they just won't arrest. And if you post news stories about crimes you're playing into the fake narrative that there are more black criminals.
Now, some people posting those stories could be racists. They could be trolls. There are a lot of forum sliders on TD late at night who just post constant "get angry at this random black man in South Africa" memes to keep the mods busy. But in a forum dedicated to posting and discussing random crime stories, there's no reason to assume that. You have to separate the wheat from the chaff. Discussions about the stories could actually inspire some readers to consider what's gone wrong in our society and start thinking of solutions. Fixing the problem instead of ignoring it would help black people since they are victims of crime too. The fact this is being discussed tells me he's not using discernment to identify the real racist trolls, but just banning anything not-PC and telling himself he's against bigotry to feel good about it. If you can't point out a problem, you can't fix it.
So if he's being honest, the only way he could have such a weird idea about the "demographics of policing" is because he lives in a safe bourgeois neighborhood and has no direct experience with crime, only communicates in protected speech bubbles that don't allow deviation from Current Year PC thought, and only get his news from mainstream media that doesn't want to offend minorities. Everyone else said "it's not my problem" and did what was easy and felt good at the time, but society is less well off. He hasn't shown that he's made a "better community" at all.
Certain demographics are over represented. Not due to their own issues but due to racist policing. This mod is an idiot.
Reality is often... racist.

He's probably one of those idiots who think police were all founded to be slave-catching groups and just progressed from there.
And they never want to talk about solutions to these high crime areas because that would involve abandoning the popular narratives
