Open borders aren't remotely as big a problem when they're not paired with handouts.
It doesn't matter, enforcing the border is one of the jobs that a government is actually supposed to do.
It also doubles as the easiest way to spot an Anarchist, who believes that government is anathema, and a Libertarian, who acknowledges that a government is a necessary evil.
Even a lot of anarchists, including myself, put the border stuff at the bottom of a very long list of priorities. Let's kill the federal reserve, the CIA, the FBI, and all the other TLA's, stop regulating American industry into the ground, and get government power shifted to as local a level as possible. Then, once that's done, maybe we have conversations about the philosophical defensibility of national border enforcement.
Stupid argument, open borders destroy culture, culture dictates the government.
