The only point is to secure their own power. Black Lives Matter is run by Marxists, but they don't really intend on overthrowing the government, since they are getting mostly government backing. As long as the government doesn't give a shit about burning cities, they can keep it up, and the violence just radicalizes people more to their "side" until they piss off to their lilly-white mansions with the ill-gotten donations they made.
Hamas doesn't give a shit about Jews or Palestine. It's a grift to make the leadership money and secure power to get money.
