The numbers were down for two reasons, sick people were all counted as covid regardless of whether they were properly tested or not because covid made more money for the people doing the testing/treating. and two, because for the first time in their fucking lives, most people actually obeyed the suggestions on what to do when sick (no doubt because they could afford to stay home, which is the number one recommendation).
