You know what's funny, I studied Arabic ~20 years ago...shortly before 9/11 actually.

One day in class of the Muslim students was talking about how the word "Islam" means peace.

The professor, a Lebanese dude who was based as fuck, said, "No, that's wrong. Islam means submission or surrender--completely." (and went into grammatical and historical detail.)

Muslim dude was pissed.
