I've had this happen to me twice in my life. If only my skin was darker so I could post some vapid, self-absorbed Twitter posts decrying systemic racism and oppression like the truly brave in that comment thread.

This happened to me recently at Whole Foods. A white child mistook me from working there and their parent shushed them quickly but didn’t engage with me. I brushed it off. When I went to checkout the item I was buying rung up free because the price tag was missing. Look at God?

Different posters. The doctor is the original Twitter nobody, the Whole Foods shoplifter is a different, presumably non-doctor, nobody.
They're all doctors, present or future. Don't you know?
