"Equality of opportunity" is a trojan horse for equity. Most opportunities are outcomes.
And equity is a Trojan horse of its own. It won’t stop at equal outcome, the same way pushing women in higher education hasn’t ended even if they outnumber men 2:1. I’m sure there are other examples too.
