Doctor (the one I actually get to hire and go to by choice, not a politician with a title) encouraged me to have my Vitamin D checked in 2019. Was quite low, and I live in Texas and at the bare minimum do outside exercise almost every day. Supplement it and it's up to normal levels. I also got over WuFly in about 36 hours.
The thing is it can't hurt and it's cheap and easy to fix.
For whites in particular it is incredibly easy. I live in the South also, so I just decided to start chilling outside in the sun for about 30 minutes a few times a week, just after the sun reaches its highest point. (So the UV rays aren’t excessively strong) I feel a lot better and I’m glad I made the decision.
