Life is about overcoming challenges. We’re all taught lies growing up, things we must grow out of.
Agreed, but an industrialized system of abuse? That's more than just growing out of it, and anyone participating in that system should be utterly condemned for their responsibility in what amounts to a genuine crime against humanity.
True, but allow me to explain. I grew up being taught an incredible number of lies. From school, the media, my own parents, etc. Yet here I am today and I am not a drooling libtard. Why is that? I watched the same ads and was told the same stuff about how our continent wouldn’t have any trees on it by 2020, and other such nonsense.
I’m not smarter than other people. I think intelligence may even work against you because it can grow your ego to the point that you look down on others who don’t agree with you.
All I know is that I questioned things. I was open to hearing alternatives. I did research and kept my mind open. I let myself be wrong and dropped my pride and arrogance. I stopped hating other people and judging them because I became a Christian and saw that I was no better, no more moral than anyone else.
So when I hear you say that they were psychologically damaged, I think, who wasn’t? There has to be some difference that led them to stay as they are and for me to change. We had the same abuse, so it has to be something else. That’s why I think they have equal responsibility and blame.
If someone keeps lying to you and you keep believing them, aren’t you as much to blame as the liar?
