Any ambiguity in racial heritage will be exploited because it is dictated by whoever gets to set the narrative. Zimmerman is a good example. Oprah Whitey is particularly vulnerable to a real black woman that wants her job calling it out, since women are more prone to gossipy power struggles and whitey keeping the darkie down is an easy sell.
