I saw KIA linked on the All Communities sidebar and from the most recent posts assumed it was dead, then I happened to notice a few KIA2 posts on communities.win and apparently this one is active.
Sorry if this has been discussed to death already. I just got here.
I take strong exception to that. Not just because of the loss of a community, which forces of good may still reconquer in the future, but that the largest GG community would die such an ignominious death would be absolutely tragic. They'd be citing for years how "KiA was killed by its founder for being too racist", without a shred of evidence, of course.
I also help them with information about admin nonsense and other stuff that helps them not get banned, and they help me. You may not like them. I don't either. But they are our allies. It's the narcissism of small differences to think that they are the enemy. When the outside world can't even tell us apart, it is the height of folly to consider them the enemy.
They claim everything else without evidence, why would David-Me's meltdown be much different?
As for seeing the KiA mods as enemies...well, frankly, they strangled how many thousands of subscribers out of KiA with the bloated rules? They are at best misguided, at worst they are reprobates who got a taste of power and decided it elevated them above the others. And with how many went along with Raraa, I'm inclined towards the latter.
You say it's the height of folly to consider them the enemy. I say it's the height of folly to allow those who have already betrayed you once to guard your flank. And hey, remember how they considered KiA2 posters to be 'brigaders?' I believe a certain BananaDyne got banned from KiA Prime just for posting on KiA2. "Totalitarians aren't generally known for their finesse."
The problem is that they would then be able to provide actual evidence for their claims. And us pointing out that David was a useless nitwit and good-for-nothing would not have made any difference.
Both are true. They are misguided, and they have the arrogance that they have the moral right to foist their misguidedness on the entire sub.
Not considering people your enemy is not the same as trusting them blindly. And there's a difference between the individuals on how much I trust them, and on what issues.
Precisely.
