So he now thinks this wasn't a hoax, or he thinks it is a hoax and all issues of racism are hoaxes. Political Correctness is a plague that's already killed logic.

I think he's going for "Yes, this was technically a hoax, but the poor student was driven to carry out this hoax by years of systemic racism"
