I believe bitchute allows duplication of Youtube uploads, even marked private, to get scraped and uploaded to their system. Which sounds silly after I'm advocating for cutting Youtube out but, really, if the vids are private only on that platform that's denying the eyeballs Google needs to sell advertising.
Other services like d.tube fully support peered hosting like Skynet and there is an open API and a few implementations already for desktop use.
