archive of tweet in case of removal:https://archive.is/h4k29
Seems ironic a browser claiming to be against censorship is now engaging in cancel culture if that's not bad enough seems they preemptively blocked reply's from the tweet on twitter as only "People @torproject follows or mentioned can reply." appears on the live page as of this writing.
After looking at the open letter in question it seems they are censoring all opposing views if this thread is to be believed: https://github.com/rms-support-letter/rms-support-letter.github.io/issues/175, not really related just seems like good trivia.
What a pathetic joke the open source community has become.
They finally cracked the "embrace, extend, and extinguish" code for it.
People who care about digital privacy tend to be raging leftists.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
If the right had cared about privacy they wouldn't be so tied to corporate leftist social media or get hauled off by the feebs in the US for protesting.
I don't get why the right are still surprised that leftist social media is censoring and deplatforming them.
I wish someone from the right would talk about digital privacy and open source software and bring awareness to the issue.
There are people on the right who still use Google search despite knowing Google is evil, or still using the Youtube app on their smartphone, or not using an adblocker on their browser/phone, or is still using Google Chrome. They keep complaining about leftist institutions but do nothing to prevent these companies to profit off of their data.
