Right now I’m just adding the websites of known BLM-supporting companies, of which I’ve already added hundreds. After that I hope to add subsidiaries as well.
It’s certainly not an easy problem given that lots of companies tend to have many domains and simply blacklisting a term in a domain is likely to generate tons of false positives.
What I’d like to do eventually is open it up for suggested additions. Perhaps open source it, but there’s so much cancer in open source I don’t know how to feel about that.
Just in case you haven't seen it I will direct you to the One Angry Gamer "Traitors Of America" list https://archive.is/BLbcx and make a suggestion that you keep a reference for the reason you add each one to the list.
That’s actually one of the things I’m working with for the BLM list. I figure transforming it into an ad blocker list is a good way to put it into practice and for people (including myself) to put our money where their mouth is as far as not supporting any of these companies.
Sure, making a thread for it here could probably generate some good suggestions. I've been pretty bad about keeping track myself, but I know there's other guys out there keeping lists.
Such a compilation should help generate a discussion on non-woke alternatives that are available.
