The media is prepping the undocumented tour of the capitol as some big threat to democracy.
I've heard individuals calling the protestors terrorists, terrorists are people you show no pity and execute without a trail.
They did something similar with Trump supporters=nazis to justify violence, silencing and discriminating basically anyone right of center.
How do you guys see this play out and what do center left average people think of all of this?
It will be remembered fondly. Just not this second.
Here me out:
Most of the people there were angry about the lockdown and how it had effected their family and livelihood. 155 days of intentional rioting. Refusing to prosecute felony crimes, and intentionally prosecuting innocent people for self defense.
This 'raid', effectively, will be looked at in the future by people who are even more oppressed than we currently are today, as what a bunch of disorganized fuckwits can do with mere agitation alone.
Let's say that South Dakota's governor decides not to abide by some new Domestic Terror law, nor any new COVID-22 mandatory lockdown orders, nor is willing to implement at digital currency. As the government responds badly to each act of defiance, they will strip funding, impose punitive actions, file federal lawsuits, institute lockdowns with federal law enforcement, and maybe even just straight up arrest the governor and quarantine the state legislature.
People in red areas and blue areas will suddenly remember, that chuckle-fuck boomers seized the Capitol for a few hours, and after 2-4 years of the Biden Harris administration, they will realize the empower has no clothes.
Power is fundamentally illusory.
Those boomers proved it. As shit gets worse, people will remember that more, and they will realize that power, even when it's holding a gun, is still illusory. It requires compliance, that is why civil disobedience is so dangerous.
