Wow, that's way worse than anything from the "Jim Crow" days.

And what irks me is, every time I still hear about those "whites-only lunch counters", they always act like it was somehow illegal to have blacks-only lunch counters, that they didn't exist.

They celebrate the black-only places and make fun of whites who foolishly stumbled into a black-only place. See for example the Live and Let Die scenes when Bond is in Harlem
