Fascinating article. Although I will say that Goebbels was nothing like the Cathedral, as he realized that being subtle did far more good to his cause than blatant propaganda - e.g. how Der Jud Suess fared vs. The Eternal Jew.
I can also read in the article that he believed in only telling the truth (as he saw it), because he thought Germans were too sophisticated to believe lies. That is clearly not the attitude of CNN, nor are Americans too sophisticated not to swallow blatant lies wholesale.

Even as it stands now, how many people realize that stuff like CNN is a tissue of lies? I can't imagine that anyone could read something like this and not realize that it is pure propaganda - but there are always disappointments in life. Likely the majority of people would just read and take it as Gospel, even as they recognize on a theoretical level that the media cannot be trusted (Murray-Gellman amnesia effect).
