Actually pretty true. Hell, the scientific community is a cancerous cesspit. They will bully anyone that goes against the status quo. And it's been that way for thousands of years. It's primarily why we took us so fucking long to get medicine right. Well, more right.

I wouldn't go that far, but I'd definitely say that there tends to be a problem in science when the scientific establishment has to confront hard truths about their previous assumptions.
