it goes right along with the endless denigration of any and all traditions. Everything from the past is backward and stupid, it couldn't possibly be that customs and ways of structuring society or social interactions that have survived for thousands of years came to be and last that long for good reason. No, they must all just be a product of people being too stupid and unenlightened to throw away all the guard rails countless societies have erected.
