Idk the whole anti-vaxx hate never seemed too organic to me. Not as inorganic as the failed BidenBro campaign from 2017 but still.

You're onto something. I don't think Corona was released on purpose. But there has definitely been a reason for the recent big push-back against anti-vaxxers that started a few years ago. And it is a few reasons.
Anti-vaxxers don't mesh with the left's open boarders agenda. People from South America don't tend to have access to all the vaccines that Americans get. So when un-vaxxed Illegal Aliens from South America come into America, they risk spreading diseases to un-vaxxed Americans. This happened in California in 2015 with a measles outbreak. Stories like this tend to make people want stricter boarder & immigration control.
Anti-vaxxers are more right-wing than they used to be. Anti-vaxxers used to almost exclusively be on the left. The lefty hippie that uses "alternative medicine", "eastern medicine" and "healing crystals" was the most notorious stereotype of an anti-vaxxer for a reason. Now that right-wing "conspiracy" circles are more of a thing than what they used to be, anti-vaxxers on the right are more of a thing these days.
i don't think the original infection was purposeful, but everything that happened after was.
A crisis is, after all, danger and opportunity mixed.
It was released accidentally from a wuhan biolab that should have been running at level 4 security, which instead was running at level 2. Thus it really didn't kill as many people as a bioweapon would. Thus the media has to turn it into a killer rather than let the evidence speak for itself.
