This might sound like a strange argument, but aren't the ones that try and fail to kill themselves potentially salvageable humans? They attempt suicide due to regret, right? Having regret should mean that they're capable of introspection, and I'm fairly positive that our primary enemies cannot introspect.
I'd like to see some case studies for this, but I doubt there will be any for some years (if at all).

There's a difference between regretting the consequences of a course of action, and regretting having taken that course of action because you understand it better now.
Transgenderism is already suicide-adjacent - like suicide, it is a form of self-erasure or self-annihilation. Attempting to 'become someone else' is not terribly different from attempting to 'become not-me'.

There's also ignoring the fact that for some attempting suicide IS the goal, not actually succeeding.
For those who "having a special label" is a form of attention seeking, where else do you go if that isn't enough validation?
There's a reason why the data supports men having lower suicide attempt rates but higher success rates than women who are inverse...

That's a good point. Do you have any ideas for what a sign of potential redemption would look like from them?
Recognizing that they fell victim to a social contagion and fighting back against the contagion itself and those intentionally spreading it.
Not necessarily regret, but because their mental illnesses remained unaddressed - since they claimed it was just gender delusion.
The people who don't attempt suicide may be the more decent people.
