Well that was alot of anti-white SJW non-sense but they did get some things correct.
To someone on the left, burning a pair of expensive shoes is a self-own.
To someone on the right, it's demonstrating just how disposable those products are. That they have the money to just do something so flippant in an instant.
They can afford to set fire to their own shoes, smash up their expensive coffee makers, and if any company they support does something they don't like, they can destroy those products too. Because they can afford to.
They are customers, and they're making a statement that they have power. That's the message; we can afford this stuff, so listen!
Yes, that is the message and it is an effective form of consumer protest. Anyone deemed not left enough for the Corporate Marxist establishment doesn't have the social capital to just whine and magically get what they want without actually proving their worth as a paying customer. SJWs are allowed to "boycott" products they will never buy and have companies listen to them. Conservatives, Moderates and even some non-SJW Liberals & Progressives have to prove that they are potential paying costumers before they can effectively boycott companies.
I don't understand their argument. Firstly, does no one remember the Goya fiasco where TONS of lefties just threw food in the trash for the dumb reason of having a CEO vaguely support Trump? Secondly, there's a skewed view of the right by the left that the right is both idiotic poor bumpkins and wealthy oil barons and middle class darlings (who are also idiotic/evil in their view because the left can't handle rationalizing other people). This is far from a right-exclusive phenomenon, and the left handily does it more often over less. Cathy Griffin threatened Trump with an ISIS-style beheading and got a comedy special less than 2 years later. Gina Carano said cancel culture was similar to Nazi brownshirts and she'll never work in Hollywood again.
