Unfortunately, I agree with you.
It'd be nice to operate in an environment in which it's possible to have an honest debate between left and right, hash out the best ideas of each - I'm not naive enough to think the right has a monopoly on being right about everything for all time.
It's unfortunate because the left, having lost a lot of these arguments, collectively decided to embark upon a project whereby they'd simply infiltrate and eradicate any institution that held a right-wing position so they'd be able to win by default. I think it truly says something that this was regarded as the easier path than coming up with arguments that didn't fail almost every test.
The left has made the anti-left position a necessity because of their hegemonic fixation.

It's okay to have them participate as members. But under no circumstance should they be allowed to hold power.
