That bill is total bullshit. Apparently even my heavy .22 WMR bolt action rifle would be banned for having a 15 round magazine, that is if it's not a military-style weapon by some rule. If I were to use it for typical short-range self defense it would damn near be better as a club.

$800/yr tax they call "insurance". Psychological evaluation that not only would be whatever the hell rules they make up but requires family members to testify too. 15 years in prison for violating? They pass this and enforce it at all they really will be starting a war.

I'm glad to see Texas legislature making a bunch of state bills to try to fight this shit, but also disappointed to see this bill come from Texas. The leftist parts of Texas are leftist to the extreme, but even then they will piss off some liberals with that crap.
