Can you give some recommendations? Are there any sites out there that you can actually believe?

I use a Logitech m570 trackball for daily use
I switched to it because Path of Exile was killing my wrist and couldn't be happier. The thing about logitech their products work great but don't last forever, so expect to replace it every 3ish years.
It works just fine for gaming (my desktop gaming is path of exile, hearthstone and occasional steam tactic/management game like darkest dungeon) but I play my FPS with a controller like a filthy casual.
I love the m570. Whenever I buy a new one I pro-actively replace the switches with higher quality ones that last longer (I use these but I'm sure others will also work). Fixes the "double-click" problem they eventually have due to the switches wearing out.
I know its possible but is that less of an asspain than buying a new one every 3 years?
I was going through enough of them that it became worth it. And I like the stiffer feel of the replacement switches.

ty for info, still not sure ill do it but a least I have an idea of what to do if I ever get the motivation
I use a trackball for work so I'm very used to it for that, I would think it would be bad for FPS etc.
