. The entire notion of Trump's candidacy and presidency was to stick it to the elites. And then, well, uh, there wasn't really a plan beyond that.

They are not wrong here. What are the odds that any leftist will wake up to the fact that Democrats and the left in general are the party of elites. All socialist and communist movements eventually end up with a group of elites playing god against the will of the people on the delusion they are superior and know better then the rest.
